Company
Combit AB — experience in industry transformation
Engineering and consultation across industries, built on practical experience since 1991.
Our history
Stockholm origins. Practical engineering.
Combit began engineering activity in Stockholm in 1991 as a sole trader under the name COMBITECH Import Export Consulting, when a substantial part of the world market was granted to us by SAAB Marine Electronics AB. In 1994, the assets were transferred to the newly formed Combit AB, which has been operational ever since.
Over the following 25 years, Combit replaced obsolete pneumatic actuators and analogue instruments with new-generation digital control systems, while developing process solutions enabled by improved component accuracy.
This work built experience in process piping, closely regulated plants and hazardous environments, including revisions to operation procedures as installations changed. When suitable equipment was unavailable, Combit developed equipment to support project execution.
We gathered and trained specialists for our first Engineering, Procurement and Construction contracts in 1994. Since then, Combit has fulfilled or substantially participated in seven major EPC orders, alongside smaller supplies and works across chemical plants, community heating and power plants, ports and other industrial facilities.

Dedicated project teams
Focused task management within Combit’s competences, as part of teams formed together with project investors.
Clear development stage
Distinguishing current consultation services and proven ideas from concepts, research and work awaiting integration.
Project Company Formation
When a project is approved by the client, a new company may be formed under the Combit Group umbrella to distribute risk in a way that reflects the realities of the work. Structure follows conditions on the ground: local and national circumstances, labour law in the country concerned, and the availability of specialists. It also follows what must be brought in — equipment imported as a project package, and machinery and equipment admitted under temporary import for the life of the project — alongside the construction regulations that govern how the work is executed.
